The retailer declined to provide any specifics of the partnership either in a press release or in response to customer questions on its Facebook page, but said more information would come out in the fall.

"Jamie Oliver is an important piece of Sobeys' brand evolution, which is focused on meeting Canadians' need for better food solutions. You’ll hear more details about Jamie's role in the fall, but I can tell you today that we’re very happy to have Jamie as a partner as we embark on this journey to serve the needs of consumers who seek better food solutions," Doug Brummer, senior vice president of marketing, told SN.

In addition, Sobeys said it would be changing its store experience and product selection to reflect consumer interest in healthy eating. Details of those changes also are forthcoming.
