Executives from Coborn’s, KeHe Distributors, Lazy Acres and Northgate Gonzalez Market will be among the speakers at a half-day education and networking summit sponsored by SN and designed to drive health and wellness in supermarkets.
The SN Health & Wellness Summit is scheduled for Thursday, March 5, during Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, Calif.
Scheduled speakers include Rhonda Siltman, category manager for natural and organics, at Coborn’s; Scott Silverman, VP, growth solutions, for KeHe; Vic Sohagi, president of Lazy Acres Market; and Alfonso Cano, produce director for Northgate Gonzalez.
Other participants will include Eric Pierce, director of strategy and insights, for NEXT at New Hope Natural Media, Boulder, Colo.; Annie Geile, director of client management for LabelINSIGHT; and Phil Lempert, the Supermarket Guru and SN contributing editor, with additional speakers to be announced later.
Sessions will focus on leveraging wellness strategies across different retail food channels, best practices for in-store health and wellness merchandising and key wellness trends in mainstream retail. In addition, the sessions will look at how natural foods suppliers can grow their brands at supermarkets and insights on which new health and wellness products are most likely to succeed.
The summit — which will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. — is free to anyone with a badge for the Expo West convention.
Registration for the convention is available online.
