Acosta to Acquire Promo Depot

Acosta Sales and Marketing Co. yesterday said it has agreed to acquire Promo Depot Inc., a promotional products company and marketing agency.

JACKSONVILE, Fla. — Acosta Sales and Marketing Co. here yesterday said it has agreed to acquire Promo Depot Inc., a promotional products company and marketing agency, also based here. Terms were not disclosed. The acquisition is effective Dec. 1. Acosta said the offerings of its own MatchPoint Marketing would be combined with Promo Depot into one organization under the leadership of Mike Sims, president of Promo Depot. The combined company will focus on brand strategy, creative, interactive marketing and sales promotion. It will be called Promo Depot/MatchPoint, and will have offices in Jacksonville; Pittsburgh; Bentonville, Ark.; Tampa, Fla.; Charlotte, N.C.; Boston; Cincinnati; St. Louis; San Antonio; Dallas; Los Angeles; and Pleasanton, Calif. Promo Depot's clients include CPG companies and retailers. “Promo Depot brings to Acosta a dynamic management team and group of associates who have established exceptional relationships and built a strong reputation with both grocery and non-grocery clients,” said Acosta President and Chief Operating Officer Robert Hill.
