WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, Ohio — Heinen's Fine Foods here will open its first store outside its home state in the Chicago suburb of Barrington, Ill., the company said.

Construction is set to begin shortly on the site, a former Staples office supply store, which is scheduled to open under the Heinen's banner next summer, officials said.

"We looked for quite a while for our first out of state venture," Tom Heinen, co-owner of the 17-store, upscale chain, said in a statement. "We wanted a community that values service and quality which we believe we can deliver at competitive prices."
