SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Price Chopper Supermarkets here on Thursday said it has promoted Mona Golub to vice president of public relations and consumer and marketing services.

She had been vice president of public relations and consumer services for the 128-store chain. Golub, a member of founding Golub family, reports to Russell Zwanka, vice president of sales, merchandising and marketing. In her new position, she will be responsible for market research, social media, marketing services, public relations, customer communications, and consumer trends, including nutrition and lifestyle programs and events.

In addition to Golub and three executive changes announced Wednesday, Price Chopper also said Heidi Reale has been promoted to director of consumer insights, reporting to Golub. Reale will be responsible for all consumer feedback in existing and new markets and will oversee the consumer and marketing services call centers, special order services and all social media. She has been with Price Chopper since 1984, and most recently was manager of market research.
