Price Chopper Promotes Plonsky to Regional VP

Price Chopper Supermarkets announced yesterday that Jody Plonski has been promoted to the position of regional vice president of operations, replacing Jay Ropietski, who left the company to work at Weis Markets.

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Price Chopper Supermarkets here announced yesterday that Jody Plonski has been promoted to the position of regional vice president of operations, replacing Jay Ropietski, who left the company to work at Weis Markets. Plonski will report directly to David Golub, vice president of store operations. In his new position, Plonski will be responsible for overseeing the operations of all stores in Massachusetts, Vermont and Schenectady. He joined Price Chopper in 1999 and has held several operations positions, the most recent being that of zone director.
