SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Save Mart Supermarkets here said it would lay off 103 workers across three distribution centers and company headquarters, published reports said.

Steve Junquiero, president of Save Mart, made the announcement in a statement, according to a report in the Merced (Calif.) Sun-Star newspaper. The layoffs would occur in the labor relations/loss prevention department as well as positions at its distribution centers in Vacaville, Roseville and Merced, Calif.

Save Mart officials were not immediately available for comment.
