HENDERSON, Nev. — In celebration of the opening of U.S. Bank offices inside Smith’s Food & Drug Stores across southern Nevada, the bank and Smith’s will mark the occasion today by hosting a three-minute shopping spree at a store location here for one winning customer.

U.S. Bank will match the dollar value of the groceries that the winner collects and donate that amount to Three Square, a feed-the-hungry non-profit.

Last year the Minneapolis-based U.S. Bank, the sixth largest commercial bank in the U.S. and owned by U.S. Bancorp, announced it would assume the leases of Zions Bank in 49 Smith's stores in Utah and Nevada. The U.S. Bank branch expansions at Smith’s will be complete by the end of this year, making U.S. Bank the largest full-service in-store branch-banking network in the United States, with more the 600 in-store branches in 19 states, according to a news release from the bank.
