As reported, Big Y Express, which opened last month, is a result of a partnership between Big Y Foods, Springfield, Mass.. and petroleum supplier F.L. Roberts & Co.

The convenience store/gas station is located several hundred feet from Big Y’s new Housatonic Street, World Class Market.

The 2,000-square-foot store stocks packaged groceries, including Big Y store brands, as well as fresh and prepared foods, according to promotional materials.

It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and employs 10 people.
