Sixteen Carolina businesses are competing in Lowes Foods’ “Local Biz Bowl.” The winner will be named Lowes’ top local business partner.

Lowes shoppers get to decide the winner via a Facebook vote. Each week, the businesses with the most votes will move on to the next round until the champion is announced on Oct. 6. The contest began Sept. 7.

Among the companies in the running: Childress Vineyards, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, Mt. Olive, Foothills Brewing and Cheerwine.

“We’ve rounded up some of our favorite local businesses, and now the voting is in your hands,” Lowes writes in promotional materials. “Show them some local love and let us know which Carolina biz you want to see come out on top.”
