ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Readers who opt not to prepare meals whose recipes are featured in Wegmans Menu Magazine can now pick them up, already made, in the retailer’s prepared foods department. “We actually started with about 20 excellent recipes in our prepared foods department, especially Italian-inspired ones (the most popular cuisine in America),” said Mary Ellen Burris, senior vice president of consumer affairs for Wegmans, in her weekly consumer column. “We worked back from there to develop them for easy preparation at home.” Three-Cheese Ravioli with Baby Spinach and Spicy Arrabbiata Sauce, Whole Wheat Penne Pasta with Roasted Vegetables & Garlic and Chicken Marsala are among the entrees featured in this fall’s edition of Wegmans Menu Magazine. Copies can be ordered online at a cost of $4.00 per issue, plus shipping.
