Fresh & Easy has started stocking individual smoothie kits from Wild Oats Marketplace for customers to make drinks at home.

The single-serving kit includes a combination of fruit and vegetables, a cup and a straw. At home, customers mix the fruit with ice in a blender.

There are three varieties of smoothies. The Antioxidant Smoothie contains blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, apples and spinach; the Energy Smoothie has pineapples, mangos, kale and spinach; and Berry Blast includes strawberries, oranges, apples, blueberries and spinach. The Antioxidant Smoothie costs $5.99 and the other two retail for $4.99.

The retailer linked to a blog post from Our Ordinary Life, who offered further instructions and tips.

There are several varieties of smoothie kits at Fresh & Easy and I really like that they come with everything you need. The directions do suggest adding a banana to the mix and I know that would be a flavorful addition. Making the smoothies [was] very easy and after adding ice they were ready to go.

On Facebook, Fresh & Easy customers posted that they like the concept, but some were concerned about the price.
