Schnuck Markets has expanded its prepared foods delivery partnership with DoorDash to more stores and two more states.

In March 2021, Schnuck announced it worked with last-mile delivery specialist DoorDash to provide prepared foods through the DoorDash mobile app or website, with five supermarkets in the St. Louis area fulfilling orders placed via DoorDash. Today, the St. Louis-based grocer said DoorDash meal delivery has been extended to 25 stores in Missouri, Illinois and Indiana.

DoorDash will deliver to addresses within 3.7 miles of the participating Schnucks locations. Food options throug the service include prepared favorites from the Schnucks deli such as rotisserie chickens, sandwiches, chicken wings, pulled pork, side dishes and side salads. Additional stores and menu items may be added to the DoorDash service later on, the retailer said.

“Schnucks’ expanded partnership with DoorDash allows us to reach more customers and gives them greater access to our delicious deli and prepared food options and Schnucks signature items,” Chace MacMullan, senior director of digital experience at Schnuck Markets, said in a statement. “Through DoorDash and our many other e-commerce options — such as Schnucks Delivers, Deli Order Ahead, Party Planning Order Ahead and Custom Cake Order Ahead — Schnucks continues to meet our customers where and when it’s most convenient for them.”

Customers can place a DoorDash order via the Schnucks Rewards app and selecting the DoorDash link, or they can order directly through the DoorDash app or website, Schnucks said. Orders are typically delivered within 30 minutes, depending on DoorDash driver availability and demand. First-time Schnucks DoorDash customers get a 20% discount on orders of $15 or more through July 31.

Including the initial five locations, Schnucks prepared food delivery through DoorDash is available at 16 stores in Missouri, eight stores in Illinois and one store in Indiana.

The expansion with DoorDash reflects recent efforts by Schnucks to extend its online reach and meal offerings. In May, the regional grocer teamed up with Instacart to enable Schnucks Delivers curbside and delivery orders directly through the Schnucks Rewards app. Schnucks, too, has continued to build its roster of partnerships with local eateries to serve up more prepared food options.

Overall, Schnuck Markets operates 112 stores in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.
