Walmart is now offering late night express delivery to customers at over 4,000 stores across the U.S.

The service will be offered until 10 p.m. on orders placed by 9:30 p.m., and the retailer is also offering other features to smooth out its delivery process.

Walmart’s Live Shopper feature allows customers to text in real-time with a personal shopper to allow for any last-minute order changes.

Walmart already has on-demand delivery, which allows for same-day orders. The retailer also offers Express Delivery, where orders get processed between 30 and 90 minutes.

Walmart’s online delivery strategies appear to be working. The retailer's share of U.S. online grocery sales reached a record high in Q2 2023, surpassing supermarkets for the third consecutive quarter according to the latest monthly Brick Meets Click/Mercatus Grocery Shopping Survey.

The retailer also captured nearly 36% of all U.S. online grocery sales in Q2, up more than five percentage points from the prior year and the highest share to date.
