The service is free for two or more prescriptions; $5 for one prescription. Payment can be made with cash or check directly to the driver upon receipt of the prescription. Someone 18 years or older must be home to accept the delivery and to provide payment.

“At H-E-B, we love coming up with ways to make your life easier,” H-E-B writes in promotional materials. “Count on us to make prescriptions easier.”

The service of San Antonio-based H-E-B is available in several dozen stores in San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi and other areas.
