LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix Super Market has kicked off a “Store Brand Challenge.”

Under the deal, which Publix runs occasionally throughout the year, shoppers who buy select national brands get the private-label version for free.

“We're so sure that you'll love our products, you can try them for free,” Publix states in promotional materials.

Five items are included in the current week-long, baking-themed promo, including Kraft marshmallows, Nestle Toll House butterscotch morsels and Reynolds wrap.
