Food Lion has expanded its Food Lion private label line to include produce, adding carrots, apples, potatoes, mushrooms, onions and other items.
The retailer also redesigned the packaging for Food Lion branded products. Nutritional information is now included on the front panel.
“Private brand products are extremely important to Food Lion customers, especially as we make grocery shopping easy, fresh and affordable,” Paula Summers, director of marketing for Food Lion, said in a press release. “We are especially pleased with our new fresh produce offerings under our Food Lion private label and are excited to extend this option to customers.”
Through Oct. 6, Food Lion will offer 25 cents back on private label purchases when customers buy four to 40 private label items in one trip.
