ABINGDON, Va. — Food City has started stocking select stores with local strawberries from farms in Virginia and Tennessee.
Scott’s Strawberries will be sold in select Tennessee and Virginia Food City locations, while Mann’s Strawberries will be delivered fresh daily to select stores in Virginia.
“We are proud to be the exclusive retail outlet to offer Scott’s Strawberries,” Mike Tipton, director of produce operations for Food City, said in a statement. “It’s a great partnership and of course our customers love the added convenience.”

It provides our customers with the freshest produce possible, while lending additional support to our local economies,” said Steven C. Smith, Food City president and chief executive officer.
