MONTVALE, N.J. — A&P here will be close two of its stores in the New York City borough of Queens, according to notices filed with state labor authorities this week.

A Pathmark store in Long Island City and a Waldbuams store in Bayside will close Aug. 27, the company said in a Worker Adjustment and Training Notice (WARN). A&P said 130 workers would be affected by the Pathmark closure and 77 by the Waldbaums’ closure.

Published reports this week said Bogopa’s Food Bazaar chain was interested in taking over the Pathmark site.
