GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Fresh Market here confirmed openings for two additional stores in the Sacramento, Calif., market.

The new stores are expected to open this fall in Sacramento and in Elk Grove. The company opened its first California store in nearby Roseville in October.

“We have enjoyed a warm welcome in Roseville, where we opened our first California store this past fall,” Randy Kelley, senior vice president of real estate and development for The Fresh Market, said in a statement. “We are excited about our continued expansion in California, and in the greater Sacramento area in particular, and we look forward to providing customers in the Fair Oaks and Elk Grove communities with the same quality products and excellent customer service that our shoppers experience in other markets.”

The company has plans for several additional sites in California including Palo Alto, Santa Barbara and Laguna Hills. The chain currently operates 129 stores in 25 states.
