CHARLESTON, S.C. — Piggly Wiggly Carolina Co. here said Tuesday it has named former store manager Jeff Harrell (pictured below) director of deli/bakery operations.
Harrell joined the Piggly Wiggly operator in 2003 and was named store manager of the chain’s upscale Newton Farms location in 2005. Prior to joining Piggly Wiggly Carolina, he spent several years managing hotels and resorts in the Southeast.

“Guests of Piggly Wiggly will benefit tremendously from Jeff’s experience and talent,” said David Schools, the company’s president and chief executive officer. “His creativity, leadership skills and extensive background across the food industry will energize the already strong deli/bakery offerings at Piggly Wiggly. Jeff is a foodie at heart and that passion will lead to exciting new offerings at The Pig.”
Harrell’s promotion is effective Sept. 4. He succeeds Craig Inabinett, who left to pursue a career in real estate, the company said.
