Foodmaster, based in Chelsea, Mass., previously announced an agreement to sell six of its 10 stores to Whole Foods. Reports said last week that Foodmaster has begun liquidation sales at the three stores that were not sold to Whole Foods or Stop & Shop. Stop & Shop, a division of Ahold USA, said it intended to offer all Medford Foodmaster employees the opportunity to apply for jobs with Stop & Shop.
