Union Workers Approve New Meijer Contract

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — United Food and Commercial Workers Local 951 approved a new contract with Meijer Inc., based here, with an 80% vote. The four-and-a-half year deal offers several wage increases throughout the agreement, protects a pension benefit plan and shortens the workplace grievance process, the union said.
