Weis Completes Chambersburg Remodel

SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets here said it would unveil the completion of renovations at its store in Chambersburg, Pa., this Sunday.

SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets here said it would unveil the completion of renovations at its store in Chambersburg, Pa., this Sunday.

The $3 million remodel provides an improved exterior, all new décor, a larger deli with an increased selection of takeout and heat-and-serve meals, a new service seafood department, an expanded produce department, a relocated and expanded pharmacy, a new floral department and an additional self-service lane.

As part of the reopening, the store is hand-delivering 2,500 bags containing private-brand products and a coupon for $8 off a $50 purchase to households in the area.

“We’re in the mood to celebrate after a seven-month project and we also wanted to thank our customers for their patience during construction,” said Dennis Curtin, Weis Markets’ director of public relations, in a statement.

The reusable bags are being delivered this week to homes within a 2.5-mile radius of the store. They contain Weis Quality Water Enhancer, Toasted Oats cereal, Long Grain Brown Rice, Cannellini Beans, Elbow Macaroni, Parmesan Cheese, Apple Juice, Squeeze Ketchup, Honey Graham Crackers, 1000 Sheet Bath Tissue and Weis 5 Star Restaurant Quality Tortilla Chips.
