Delhaize to sell Bulgarian stores

Delhaize Group on Wednesday said it reached an agreement to sell its operations in Bulgaria to AP Mart.

The transaction is expected to complete in the second quarter subject to regulatory approval as well as customary closing conditions and working capital adjustments. A purchase price was not disclosed.

Delhaize entered Bulgaria in 2011 through its purchase of Serbian retailer Delta Maxi Group.
