The Missouri-based Moser’s is a family grocery store chain with nine locations

Holts Summit, Mo.-based Foodservice company Pro Food Systems, Inc. (PFSbrands) has announced its intention to acquire Show Me Oil Company, which operates a convenience store and eight grocery stores in the Mid-Missouri area as Moser’s Foods (Moser’s).

Columbia, Mo.-based Moser’s is a family grocery store chain with nine locations. The company first launched in 1982.

PFSbrands has over 2,000 branded foodservice locations in 39 states, mostly operating in grocery stores and convenience stores, according to a statement from the company. PFSbrands foodservice brands include Champs Chicken, BluTaco, and Hangar 54 Pizza. The company has been employee-owned since 2017.

Moser’s Foods will remain under local ownership while continuing to operate under its brand. PFSbrands Chief Operating Officer Steve Black will ultimately be responsible for the company’s new retail division.

Upon finalizing the acquisition in March 2025, Clint Adams will assume the position of president of the Retail Division within PFSbrands. Adams has an extensive background in the grocery business, most recently serving as regional vice president of operations for an independent grocery retailer in the Gulf Coast region.
