WESTBURY, N.Y. — The union representing workers at Stop & Shop and King Kullen stores in Metro New York said it has come to a tentative agreement with employers on pension and welfare issues, but an overall contract still remains unfinished.
Negotiations between the retailers and United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1500 here continue this week.
Separately, the union said it remains prepared to strike Stop & Shop should negotiations fail to produce a deal.
