SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Price Chopper Supermarkets discovered three orange lobsters at stores here this week. The odds of finding an orange lobster are 1 in 10 million.

The coloration is due to a genetic mutation that can make the lobster orange, blue, calico or white. Of the 3 million pounds of lobster Price Chopper sold in the past three years, this is the first time the retailer has found an orange lobster.

Price Chopper plans to send the three lobsters to regional aquariums after July 4.
