Martin’s Super Markets plans to open a new concept store called Martin’s Express on the site of a Save-A-Lot franchise operated by the retailer in Goshen, Ind.

Set to open in spring 2015, the Express store will feature a Side Door Deli Café, Starbucks Coffee kiosk, Famous Salad Bar, full-service fresh Butcher and Seafood Shoppes, hot deli foods, panini and sub sandwiches and beer and wine. It will also include dairy, frozen, grocery and health and wellness.

“We’re excited to be able to bring this fresh, new concept store to the south side of Goshen,” marketing director Amy Simeri-McClellan said in a press release. “The word ‘Express’ as part of the name means we’ll be offering many of the favorite services Martin’s offers, but in a smaller, easy-to-shop, 26,000-square-foot format, which will be about 40% larger than the previous Save-A-Lot store.”

The Save-A-Lot store will close Oct. 25. Martin’s Express will be the company’s 22nd location.
