WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass. — The new small-store concept Roche Bros. is developing will be known as Brothers Marketplace, the chain said.
As reported previously in SN, Roche Bros. acquired the site of a former downtown department store in Medfield, Mass., earlier this year with intentions of turning it into a 9,000-square-foot space specializing in artisanal offerings, prepared foods and catering. Roche Bros. registered the Brothers Marketplace trademark in September.
Local reports said company officials revealed in a recent planning commission meeting that it intended to use the banner at the Medfield location. The store is expected to open early next year.
