Price Chopper Names 3 New Execs

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Price Chopper Supermarkets here on Thursday said Keith Frosceno has been promoted to group vice president of fresh food merchandising; and that Matt Johnson was promoted to vice president of meat merchandising, reporting to Frosceno. Additionally, Price Chopper said it had hired Jessica Morin as zone director responsible for 12 New York stores.

In his new position, Frosceno will oversee procurement, marketing and merchandising initiatives for all fresh food departments. He came to Price Chopper in 2006 as a senior category manager for produce. Prior to Price Chopper, he held top management positions for Bozzuto’s and Supervalu. Johnson came to Price Chopper in 2010 with more than 13 years of experience in retail grocery management, previously holding the position of senior category manager, meat. Prior to that he was employed by Safeway and the North West Company.

Morin came to Price Chopper with 23 years of experience in grocery retail, most recently holding the position of district manager for Safeway in the Phoenix division. She is also a former Kroger employee.
