LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix Super Markets is testing a digital coupon system in 10 stores in Ocala, Fla., and 29 stores in Alabama, including four in Birmingham.

Shoppers can access the coupons via www.publix.com/dcoupon, save them to an account, and then redeem them at checkout by entering their 10-digit phone number, according to a report in www.theledger.com. Publix does not offer a loyalty card program, which other retailers use to convey digital coupons.
