Top 10 gallery: H-E-B store tour slideshow; foodservice initiatives

H-E-B has expanded its presence in the Houston area with the opening of two new supermarkets. A gallery of the new locations — a 90,000-square-foot store near the city’s center in the historic MacGregor community and the 102,000-square-foot Harper’s Trace store, located in The Woodlands community just north of Houston — was by far Supermarket News' most popular online content in recent weeks. Also well viewed is a gallery featuring 11 retailers that ramped up their foodservice game in 2019.

Other popular recent SN content includes this store tour gallery: Lidl makes Long Island debut, plus two news stories: Publix reaches pharmacy milestone, and Walmart’s Ashley Buchanan tapped as Michaels CEO.

SN offered a look back at 2019 with these galleries: The biggest trends in center store; Education, transparency led meat & seafood trends; Private label has a banner year; SN's 10 most popular stories of 2019; and For CBD, 2019 was a year of big growth — and some controversy.
