PLANO, Texas – Crossmark here said it has named Mike Graen vice president and managing director for Crossmark’s Center for Collaboration in Bentonville, Ark.
Graen, who has led several collaboration initiatives in the consumer goods industry, most recently was director of innovations at Wal-Mart, and also worked at Procter & Gamble, where he aligned systems with Wal-Mart and developed other innovative solutions, Crossmark said.

The Center for Collaboration, scheduled to open in the spring of 2014, currently is under construction on a one-acre lot located directly across the street from the Wal-Mart Home Office. Plans call for it to provide Wal-Mart and Crossmark clients with a facility for the development of innovative ideas and business opportunities.
“The center will be a place where Wal-Mart and its suppliers plan the future,” Graen said.
Joe Crafton, Crossmark’s chief executive officer, said Graen’s experience on both the supplier and retail sides of the industry made him the best choice to lead the Center for Collaboration.
“Mike knows how to combine collaboration with technology to bring success to manufacturers and retailers,” Crafton said. “The ultimate result will be a great shopping experience for Wal-Mart customers.”
