IGA Names President Of Equipment Affiliate

nce here has named Mark Gilles equipment services manager and president of Grocers Equipment Marketing, an IGA affiliate that secures large-volume grocery equipment discounts for IGA retailers. As equipment services manager, Gilles succeeds Keith Koester, who left the company. The post of GEM president is new. Gilles, a 10-year veteran of the supermarket industry, previously served as equipment buying manager for Nash Finch Co., Minneapolis and as national store planning administrator for Pickwick Distribution Co.

He will report directly to IGA president and chief operating officer William S. Kies Jr.

IGA, a global supermarket network of more than 4,000 stores, is owned by its 21 wholesale distributors, which operate 73 distribution centers.
