Super Kmart Taps Merchandiser
t Centers here has named Nick Kallas deli merchandiser for its newly formed Illinois district.
In the food business for 30 years, Kallas was most recently perishables sales coordinator at Associated Grocers, Baton Rouge, La. He was there for 3 1/2 years.
Prior to that, he was meat specialist for Supervalu, Denver.
In his new post, Kallas reports to Ken Ozment, manager of food operations for the Illinois district.
Consultant Names Retail Director
HOUSTON -- Roth, Choate & Affiliates, a consultant firm here specializing in branded food-service concepts, has named Robert Harmon director of retail trade services, a new position.
Harmon will assist supermarket, convenience store and petroleum clients with their branded food service concepts and activities. He joins the company from Barry-Barnett Food Distribution Co., Mexia, Texas, where he was director of sales and marketing, food service division.
