TROY, Mich. -- Kmart here has named Warren Flick president and general merchandise manager of U.S. Kmart stores, a new title. Flick, formerly chairman and chief executive officer of the Mexico division of Sears, Roebuck & Co., reports to Floyd Hall, Kmart chairman, president and CEO. He succeeds Charles Chinni, who resigned as vice president of merchandising in October. Kmart officials said Flick will not have any responsibilities for supercenter operations, though the four Kmart general merchandise managers who report to him (men's and children, women's apparel, home fashion and hardlines) are responsible for both discount stores and supercenters.
