MINNEAPOLIS -- Supervalu here has named new presidents at three wholesale food divisions.
Anniston, Ala..
The Southeast division combines the administrative operations of separate Supervalu wholesale food divisions in Anniston and Atlanta. The new Southeast division will serve 225 retailers in Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina.
Ping was president of the now defunct Anniston division. He will report to Larry Anderson, executive vice president and regional president of wholesale foods.
Joel W. Raffenbeul, former president of the defunct Atlanta division, has been named president of Supervalu's Ohio Valley wholesale food division based in Xenia, Ohio. He will report to Phil Dabill, executive vice president and regional president of wholesale foods.
Raffenbeul succeeds William H. Goodlick, who was named president of Supervalu's food marketing division in Fort Wayne, Ind., as previously reported.
Thomas A. Kwasny has been named president of Supervalu's Reading, Pa., wholesale food division, succeeding George Coe, who has left the company.
Kwasny was president of Supervalu's Belle Vernon, Pa., wholesale food division. Since that division joined with Supervalu's Charley Bros. division last year to become the company's Pittsburgh division, Kwasny has been working on special projects.
