WIN-HOLT ACQUIRES SPARTAN

WESTBURY, N.Y. -- Win-Holt Equipment Group has announced the acquisition of Spartan Bakery Equipment, a two-year-old manufacturer of ovens, proofers and related fixtures, based in Long Island City, N.Y. The event represents the latest in a series of purchases by the company as it seeks to expand its portfolio of products and services, according to officials. Under the agreement, Win-Holt will lead all sales and marketing efforts for the brand, though Spartan sales associates will be retained, they added. Recent Win-Holt acquisitions also include Wilder Manufacturing (and its CareSource division) and NU-VU Food Service Systems.
