Brookshire's Wins Dairy Awards 2013

TYLER, Texas — The All Star Dairy Association honored Brookshire Grocery Co.’s manufacturing team for operations and product quality at its annual convention in Ft. Myers, Fla., on March 2.

The retailer’s dairy operations earned the Best Sour Cream Award, Best Buttermilk Award and the “Doc” Lawrence Most Improved Plant Award, while its dairy and ice cream plants also received recognition for “Exceeds Industry Standards.”

“Our manufacturing team produces excellent products that we are proud to serve to our customers and to our families,” Rick Rayford, Brookshire’s president and chief executive officer said in a statement. “We take the quality and taste of our products very seri¬ously and perform regular audits to ensure the sanitation and safety of our manufacturing plants. The products we offer are top-notch, and we are excited to have them recognized in a national arena.”

Brookshire’s went up against 250 dairy and ice cream plants in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico for the honors.
