SAN ANTONIO H-E-B is testing mobile coupons in four stores.

The program is operating in two Bryan and two College Station, Texas, stores.

Shoppers can sign up at www.heb.com/page/digital-coupons.

“Enter your mobile phone, pin and you’re ready to go,” H-E-B states in a promotional video posted on its website.

Once registered, members can visit the site and select offers they want. The coupons are linked to their mobile phone. The coupons are redeemed at checkout when the shopper enters their mobile phone number and pin at the payment terminal.

H-E-B plans to bring the service to additional stores. Customers who provide their email on the registration website will be notified when the program comes to their area.

“Saving money has never been easier,” H-E-B states. “No printing. No clipping. Just saving.”

Subscribers receive targeted promotional offers via text.
