PHILADELPHIA — The Fresh Grocer announced the launch of a health-focused field trip program for first-, second- and third-grade students.
The program, Fresh Finds, teaches the students about the different food groups and incorporates scavenger hunts and other games to introduce children to produce and fresh food smoothies.

“Educating children about health and nutrition in a fun and interactive setting is a great way to get students excited about healthy eating at a young age,” Fresh Grocer President and Chief Executive Officer Pat Burns said in a press release.
“Fresh Finds offers students the basic tools needed to make healthier choices and gives them a chance to try new foods that not only taste good but are also nutritious, affordable and available at their local grocery store.”
