Loblaw Cos. said it was partnering with Alive Publishing Group to launch a new natural health magazine, sage, to be available at its stores later this year. Sage will be available free of charge at more than 800 stores beginning with a September debut issue.
Published nine times a year, Sage is planned as a resource for up-to-date healthy, natural, and sustainable information, the companies said. Each issue will feature original natural health, lifestyle, and food content for readers seeking to make active buying decisions within the natural health category. Initial distribution will be 140,000 each issue.
"We're excited about the opportunity to bring Alive Publishing's 40 years of success in natural health and wellness to Loblaw retail brands," Ryan Benn, president of Alive Publishing Group, Vancouver, said. "Alive Publishing's continued success is the result of our unparalleled ability to make complicated natural health information accessible and actionable for everyday readers. We can't wait to bring our commitment to providing preventative natural health knowledge to Loblaw retail brands. A strongly positive impact on their customer's health and wellness is our ultimate goal."
