Solutions to fuel your workday, part 1: Power Breakfast

Stay healthy and productive this winter by starting your day, every day, with pure energy in the form of a nutrient-packed smoothie!

They’re blended, which makes it easy for the body to digest and assimilate all of the whole food nutrition. Less energy spent on digestion means more energy to power your workday.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so don’t miss the opportunity to start your day out on the right foot.

Following is my basic green smoothie recipe. Give it a try and let it supercharge your day.

Gimme Green Pure Energy Super Smoothie
(v/gf)
Makes 2 cups

Ingredients:
1 C Apple Juice or young coconut water
1 Banana, frozen
1 T Flax oil or Coconut oil
1 C Dark, leafy greens
2 T Coconut flakes
1/8 C Sprouts
Ginger, to taste (optional)

Preparation:
Place all of the above in a blender and blend until smooth. Add 3-5 ice cubes if you do not have a frozen banana on hand or if you simply want your smoothie colder.
