PITTSBURGH — Giant Eagle here has filed a lawsuit against two individuals who the chain claims misrepresented themselves as a charity to obtain discounted Giant Eagle gift cards.

The lawsuit accuses Michelle Nicholas and Patrick Sheehy, owners of Easy Auctions, Warren, Ohio, of claiming to represent VFW Post 0419 in Warren to obtain the cards, then selling them in their store and online for their own personal gain.

Giant Eagle is seeking more than $145,000 it claims it is owed, plus punitive damages.
