Redner’s Markets Selects Data Collection System

Redner’s Markets here has selected an automated data collection system from RF-Smart, Jacksonville, Fla., for inventory management in its warehouse and shipping operations.

READING, Pa. — Redner’s Markets here has selected an automated data collection system from RF-Smart, Jacksonville, Fla., for inventory management in its warehouse and shipping operations.

The system is expected to “meet our bar coding and automation needs for maximizing our operations efficiency and minimizing shipping errors,” said Gary Redner, executive vice president of procurement for Redner’s, in a statement. Rolling out to 66 users, Redner’s will integrate the RF-Smart system with an Oracle JD Edwards ERP system and its advanced warehouse functions.

Redner's Markets operates 39 Warehouse Markets and 12 Quick Shoppes throughout eastern Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland and Delaware.
