BOISE, Idaho — Albertsons LLC here named two more former Albertsons executives Monday to its management team: Daniel Salemi as president of the company's pharmacy division, a new corporate position; and Jerry Callahan as vice president, produce merchandising.

Salemi, who will be based in the Chicago area, will be responsible for continuing to grow sales and profits across all pharmacy operations; he will report to Justin Dye, incoming chief operating officer of New Albertsons Inc. (NAI), which will oversee pharmacy. Salemi has been vice president of pharmacy services for Supervalu.

Salemi originally joined Osco Drug in 1980 as a staff pharmacist, ultimately becoming vice president of managed care and pharmacy procurement with American Stores Co. prior to its 1999 merger with Albertsons. At Albertsons he was vice president of managed care before joining Supervalu when it acquired parts of Albertsons in 2006.
