PITTSBURGH — Giant Eagle here is preparing to launch Curbside Express, a new service that allows customers to order online and pick up their groceries at the store, at a single Market District location in the Robinson area.

The service is scheduled to launch April 9. It was first reported by the local CBS TV station and confirmed by the company.

Customers would place their order online, then visit the store at a specific date and time to pick up and pay for their items. The Robinson Market District would be the first store in the Giant Eagle chain to offer Curbside Express.
