Kehe Taps Silverman for Boulder Office

BOULDER, Colo. — Kehe Distributors said Wednesday it has named supermarket veteran Scott Silverman executive director of natural and organic product at the wholesaler’s new sales and marketing headquarters here.

BOULDER, Colo. — Kehe Distributors said Wednesday it has named supermarket veteran Scott Silverman executive director of natural and organic product at the wholesaler’s new sales and marketing headquarters here.

Silverman had been a merchandising executive at Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market, the Southwestern food retail chain owned by Tesco that is currently up for sale. Previously he had been category director of specialty, natural and organic at Jacksonville, Fla.-based Winn-Dixie, and had also been organic programs director at New Hope Natural Media, a sister brand to SN owned by Penton Media. He also was founder and president of Scotty’s Naturals, an organic, non-dairy beverage and vegetarian foods company based in Boulder.

Kehe, which is based in Romeoville, Ill., said that in addition to Silverman, Beata Pabian Klenk will join the company’s Boulder office on March 18 as category director for gluten-free product. She previously held positions with Wild Oats, Spins and Data Garden. In addition, Anne Evanoff, Kehe’s current category director for vitamins, minerals, supplements and personal care, will also move to the Boulder office, Kehe said. Other personnel announcements for the Boulder office are forthcoming, the company added.
