Kings Unveils Senior Executive Changes

PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Kings Food Markets here on Tuesday said it has promoted Richard Durante to chief operating officer, among several other executive moves.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Kings Food Markets here on Tuesday said it has promoted Richard Durante to chief operating officer, among several other executive moves.

Durante, a 35-year industry veteran, joined Kings in 1988 and most recently was executive vice president of merchandising, engineering and operations.

In addition, Jessica Gasser was promoted to vice president of human resources, labor relations and administration. Her role has been expanded to include oversight of IT. She is a 15-year veteran of Kings. And, Joseph Parisi was promoted to senior director of operations. He has been with Kings for more than 20 years, and most recently was regional area director.

Also:

• Paul Kneeland, vice president of produce, floral and seafood, has taken on management of the meat department.

• Scott Zoeller Sr., director of deli and prepared foods, is now responsible for management of catering.

• Antonio Acosta has been promoted to the newly created role of manager of private label, in addition to the specialty and confection categories.
